David Muylaert Appointed as Successor of Raf Iemants

As of 1 January 2026, Managing Director of Smulders Raf Iemants passed the torch. The role of CEO is now taken on by David Muylaert. Behind the scenes, Raf will still be active as Advisor to our company.
Our company did not only appoint a successor for Raf, we are also undergoing some structural changes. Our organisation model gets a make-over by introducing four business units: offshore foundations, offshore platforms, onshore solutions, and NSORe (HVDC platforms). Each business unit will operate as a product center of excellence, focusing on its specific market segment.
These structural changes are currently being rolled out both internally and externally and will become increasingly visible in the coming months.
