Final assembly milestone for OSS Jasmund jacket reached in Vlissingen
A major milestone has been reached for OSS Jasmund: the successful installation of the cable deck, marking the completion of the jacket’s final structural shape. With a total load-out weight of around 4,500 metric tonnes and a top steel height of 72 metres, the OSS Jasmund jacket now stands tall, prominently defining the skyline of Vlissingen.
The cable deck, weighing 842 metric tonnes, is a unique feature of this structure. Manufactured in two parts at our Hoboken yard and then joined and fully outfitted in Vlissingen, it was lifted into place after comprehensive preparation. What sets this deck apart is its four fully equipped rooms, including locker rooms and technical spaces, an uncommon feature in jacket construction, emphasizing the integrated and functional design of this offshore structure.
With the jacket now structurally complete, the team will focus on final preparations for the load-out scheduled for later this year.
This project is being executed on behalf of 50Hertz by the HSI consortium, which consists of HSM Offshore Energy BV, Iv, and Smulders. The consortium is responsible for the full EPCIC scope (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning) of the OSS Jasmund topside and associated jacket.
