IJburg bridges

On behalf of Mobilis, with the end client being the City of Amsterdam, the IJburg bridges, namely bridges 2060 & 2080, are being built by Smulders.
These two bridges will connect the Port Island, Centre Island and Beach Island. Bridges 2060 & 2080 are traffic bridges with a tram bridge in the middle. Smulders is responsible for the steel structures.
The bridges are being built at our production facilities in Arendonk and Vlissingen. The final assembly, load out & sail away will be done from our yard in Vlissingen.
The load out of the very first section of the IJburg bridges took place on 1 July 2024. On 8 July, the first section was already placed in Amsterdam.
