Krammer Locks
Rijkswaterstaat
Bruinisse, the Netherlands
Smulders, together with main contractor Besix and partners BESIX Unitec, Croonwolter & dros, Demako and Bosch Rexroth, will make the Krammer Locks future-proof again, on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat.
After 35 years, the locks are being subjected to a major renovation. The locks will become more modern, faster and more sustainable for both nature and underwater animals.
The five lock gates will be removed one by one from the locks to be renovated. The new lock gates will meet the latest standards and feature advanced technology.
This renovation will ensure the safety and functionality of the locks for decades to come.
