The HSI consortium, comprising Smulders HSM and Iv, was responsible for the EPCIC scope of the Jasmund topside and associated jacket for the Windanker Offshore Wind Farm, as commissioned by 50Hertz.
Smulders constructed and assembled the jacket at our yard in Vlissingen. The topside was built at the Stormpolder yard of Smulders HSM (formerly HSM Offshore Energy).
The works on the topside started in March 2024. Prefabrication of the jacket started in July 2024. In January 2026, we completed the offshore installation of the substation.
The Jasmund substation is located in the Windanker Offshore Wind Farm and northeast of Rügen Island, about 100 km off the coast of Lubmin in Germany. The substation has a capacity of 300 megawatts (MW), which can provide electricity to around 260,000 households.
