Final transition pieces for Bałtyk 2 & 3 leave Vlissingen
The final TPs for the Bałtyk 2 & 3 offshore wind farms have safely left Vlissingen, marking a major milestone in the 2-year project.
In total, Smulders built 100 transition pieces in consortium with Sif for Equinor and Polenergia. The TPs were built at our Hoboken yard and then shipped to Vlissingen.
There, our yard served as a marshalling yard: the TPs were temporarily stored and prepared in several batches for their sail-away to the Baltic Sea, where the Bałtyk 2 & 3 wind farms will produce green energy for around 2 million households.
