Together with our partner Siemens Energy, commissioned by Ocean Winds, Smulders manufactured two Offshore Transformer Modules (OTM) for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm.

Construction and assembly took place at our yard in Newcastle, UK. A real milestone for Smulders as these were the first platforms ever built at our yard in Newcastle.

On 26 September 2023, the load out of the first OTM took place. On 1 November 2023, the first OTM left for its final destination and the second OTM was loaded onto the pontoon.

The Moray West Offshore Wind Farm is located in Moray Firth in northern Scotland. The wind farm has a total capacteity of 882 MW. From July 2024, the wind farm supplies its first power onshore.

The HSI consortium consisting of HSM Offshore Energy BV, Iv and Smulders is responsible for the EPCIC scope of the OSS Jasmund topside and associated jacket for the Windanker Offshore Wind Farm. The HSI consortium was awarded the contract by 50Hertz.

Hollandse Kust (west Beta)

On behalf of TenneT, the joint venture Smulders - EQUANS IS building the offshore substation (consisting of the topside and jacket) for the Hollandse Kust (west Beta) Offshore Wind Farm, located 53 kilometres off the coast of Egmond aan Zee in the Netherlands.
