Bałtyk 2 and 3 on the move: both substation jackets successfully loaded in Newcastle

An important milestone for Bałtyk 2 & 3: both substation jackets have been safely loaded onto barges in Newcastle. This means months of work are now literally on the move.
Several Smulders sites joined forces to build the jackets, a project we execute on behalf of Equinor and Polenergia. Arendonk and Balen were responsible for prefabrication, while final assembly took place in Newcastle.
Despite challenging weather conditions in Newcastle, the teams managed to prepare the jackets and all piles for transport in parallel. An impressive logistics operation.
Soon, both structures will set sail for their offshore destination.
