On 25 April 2024 the piles, which will be used to anchor the jacket to the seabed, were loaded out in Vlissingen. A few days later, on 30 April, the 2,300-ton jacket was transferred to the pontoon as well.

This marks a significant milestone as it’s the first large-scale project built at our yard in Vlissingen.

Final assembly of the jacket started exactly one year ago in April 2023. Now, the jacket is almost ready for sail away in a few days.

Hollandse Kust (west Beta) is the third and final offshore substation Smulders and Equans are constructing for TenneT. The substation topside is currently under construction at the Equans yard in Hoboken.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this journey towards sustainable energy.
