newsflash
Today, August 22nd, the new Departure Station for the Erasmus line (HSE) was officially opened in The Hague, the Netherlands. The construction period of the departure station was less than two years. The HSE is part of the RandstadRail metro line E and is the connection between The Hague and Rotterdam.
Iemants was responsible for the engineering, fabrication, assembly and corrosion protection of the steel viaduct. It is a matter of an impressive steel construction in a space the size of a ‘postage stamp’. Iemants still managed to install a 12 metre high, 327 metre long metro track above one of the busiest roads and a busy pedestrian area and close to a bus platform, train tracks and 2 high apartment blocks.
