Last Sunday December 4th nv De Scheepvaart installed the steel arched bridge, produced by Iemants and Willems, above the Albertkanaal in Heusden-Zolder. It’s a temporary bridge of about 1,000 tons.
After multiple hours of precision work, the temporary bridge is finally at its place, right next to the current E314-bridge, which will be raised as from next year. In the spring of 2018, the current bridge has been raised. The temporary bridge can then be placed 100 meters further, next to the other bridge so that it can be raised as well.
