The British Member of Parliament (MP) Mary Glindon has encouraged the colleagues at the Smulders branch in Newcastle upon Tyne. The MP thanked them for their commitment to Smulders Projects UK, and by extension the British economy.
The statements, made in MP Glindon's weekly column, came after a lack of clarity in the United Kingdom about the corona measures taken. In contrast to Scotland, the yards are still open. The MP reacted via her regular column (see: http://www.maryglindonmp.co.uk/the%20journal.html) to the confusion and frustration this caused some workers. She also confirms that Smulders Projects UK has always respected all the measures imposed and is in constant consultation with the government. This was also shown from inspections on the site.
Smulders insists on thanking all colleagues for their commitment in these difficult times, and also the MP Glindon for her involvement. In the meantime, Smulders continues to support and inform its colleagues in the United Kingdom and abroad about how the work can continue to be safe and healthy.
