May 25th '18

On Monday 21 May, the load-out of the Hohe See jacket took place at our yard in Vlissingen. Next week, the jacket will be shipped to its final destination in the German North Sea.

The EnBW Hohe See wind farm is the biggest planned offshore wind project in Germany. It will produce enough electricity for nearly 560.000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by over 1.5 Mio tons per year. This project will be brought online before the end of 2019.

Smulders’ scope of work consisted of the design and build of the steel structure for both the topside and foundation, including piles. The design and production is completed in-house, in all Smulders’ production facilities.
